Be confident in what you know.

Fact #1.

One in four women of African-American descent over the age of 55 has been diagnosed with diabetes. We think this number is too high. Reversing type 2 diabetes is possible but it requires proper meal planning, healthy eating, and regular physical activity. Better yet, prevention is better than finding a cure but remission is better than following strict adherence to a medication regimen every day.

A FEW FACTS

A person with type 1 diabetes cannot produce insulin.

A person with type 2 diabetes can produce insulin but their body does not respond well to it.

Fact #2

Hypertension is a major risk factor for CARDIOVASCULAR disease. It is no longer true that its a "man's disease." Heart disease is the leading cause of death in women in every major developed country. It claims more womens' lives than cancer, respiratory disease, Alzheimers and accidental deaths combined.
